Scheduling Team Leader

Scheduling Team Leader

Keep a national operation moving. Lead the plan that protects water quality.

Are you a natural organiser who thrives on complexity, pace, and problem-solving? Do you enjoy turning moving parts into a smooth, efficient operation? If so, this could be the role where your planning skills really make an impact.

We’re a large national water hygiene and treatment business, trusted to keep critical water systems safe and compliant across the UK. Behind every successful site visit is a smart schedule and that’s where you come in.

The Role

As Regional Lead Scheduler, you’ll take ownership of scheduling across your region, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time. You’ll be the central link between technicians, regional operations, management, and clients, balancing planned work with fast-moving reactive demands.

This is a high-visibility role where your decisions directly affect service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage regional schedules using in-house planning software, optimising routes to reduce mileage and maximise time on site
  • Allocate suitably trained staff and ensure full coverage for holidays, sickness, and other absences
  • Act as the key liaison between regional operational teams, management, clients, and technicians – handling queries and providing clear updates
  • Dynamically adjust schedules to accommodate emergency reactive works when required
  • Raise and prioritise work requests, schedule planned maintenance, and manage follow-up actions
  • Resolve issues, address conflicts, and deliver solutions to complex scheduling challenges
  • Collaborate with other Regional Lead Schedulers and support wider scheduling teams to ensure monthly targets are achieved

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in planning, logistics, scheduling, or a similar coordination role
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Confident, professional communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with a calm, solutions-driven approach
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (training provided on our bespoke scheduling software)

Why Work for HSL?

• Full training and clear career development pathways
• Opportunities to gain industry-recognised qualifications
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Company pension scheme & sick pay scheme
• Free eye test every 2 years
• Access to Kinhub (wellbeing & financial support)
• Discounts with hundreds of retailers via Reward Gateway

If you’re ready to take control of a complex regional operation and thrive in a role where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.
